Terms of Use
Last updated: October 8, 2026
By using TextStrip (https://textstrip.com) you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the site.
The service
TextStrip is a free tool that removes HTML tags and formatting from text. It runs in your browser and is provided free of charge as a non-commercial project. We may change, interrupt or discontinue the service at any time, without notice.
No warranty
The service is provided "as is" and "as available". Because applications and editors use many kinds of markup, we can't guarantee that the result is always complete or correct. Always check the output before you rely on it, especially for important documents.
Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any damage resulting from the use of, or the inability to use, TextStrip, including loss of data or errors in the output. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law, such as liability for intent or gross negligence.
Your content
You remain the owner of any text you paste. We never receive it: it is processed only on your own device. You are responsible for making sure you have the right to use the content you process.
Acceptable use
Don't use the site in a way that breaks the law, or that disrupts or overloads the site or the systems behind it, for example through automated mass requests.
Intellectual property
The TextStrip name, design and code of this website belong to the operator of TextStrip. You may not copy them without permission.
Governing law
These terms are governed by Dutch law. Disputes will be submitted to the competent court in the Netherlands, unless mandatory consumer law gives you the right to go to a court in your own country.
