Convert PNG, JPG, WebP, AVIF and more to the format you need. Resize and compress a whole batch at once, and download them one by one or as a ZIP.
Nothing is uploaded
Images are converted by your own browser. They're never sent to a server, so private photos and screenshots stay on your device.
Batch convert & resize
Drop in as many images as you like, set a format, quality and maximum size once, and download them all together as a ZIP.
No hidden photo data
Converted images are drawn fresh, so camera details, GPS location and other EXIF metadata from the original are left out.
About image
formats.
Which format should I choose?
JPG for photos you want to share or upload anywhere: every device and website accepts it. PNG for screenshots, logos and graphics with sharp edges or transparency, because it never loses detail. WebP and AVIF are modern formats that make files much smaller at the same quality, which is ideal for websites; AVIF is usually the smallest, WebP is supported more widely.
How do I convert PNG to JPG?
Choose JPG under "Convert to", drop your PNG files in and click "Download all". Transparent areas become the background colour you pick (white by default), since JPG can't store transparency.
How do I convert WebP to JPG or PNG?
Drop the WebP file in and choose JPG or PNG. This is handy when a program or website won't accept the WebP images you saved from the web.
Can I convert HEIC photos from my iPhone?
Only in browsers that can open HEIC themselves, which today means Safari on a Mac, iPhone or iPad. In Chrome, Edge or Firefox a HEIC file can't be read. On an iPhone you can also set Settings → Camera → Formats to "Most Compatible" so new photos are saved as JPG.
How do I make an image smaller?
Lower the quality (70–85% is hardly visible for photos) and fill in a maximum width or height: the image is scaled down to fit and keeps its proportions. Images are never enlarged. Converting to WebP or AVIF usually makes the biggest difference. Each row shows the new file size, so you can compare.
Why is WebP or AVIF missing from the list?
The conversion is done by your browser, and not every browser can create every format, even when it can open it. Formats your browser can't create are greyed out. Try another browser, such as Chrome or Edge, if you need one of them.
Does converting remove EXIF data and location?
Yes. The image is redrawn and saved as a new file, so camera model, date taken, GPS location and other EXIF data are not copied over. A photo that was stored rotated is turned the right way up first. For metadata in Word, Excel, PowerPoint and PDF files, use our Metadata Remover.
What about animated GIFs?
Only the first frame is converted, so the result is a still image.
Are my images sent anywhere?
No. Everything happens in your browser: images are never uploaded or stored. See our privacy policy.
