Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 8, 2026
This privacy policy explains what happens to your data when you use TextStrip (https://textstrip.com). In short: the text you paste never leaves your browser, we don't use cookies and we don't track you.
Who we are
TextStrip is a free, non-commercial project based in the Netherlands. For any question about privacy, contact us at info@textstrip.com. We are the controller for the limited personal data described below, within the meaning of the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
The text you paste
TextStrip processes your text entirely in your own browser using JavaScript. The text you paste and the result are not sent to our servers or to anyone else, and they are not stored. When you close or reload the page, the text is gone.
Cookies and tracking
TextStrip does not use cookies, local storage, analytics, advertising, tracking pixels or any other technology that stores or reads information on your device. That is why you don't see a cookie banner. If this ever changes, we will update this policy and ask for your consent where the law requires it.
Hosting and server logs
The website is hosted by Cloudflare, Inc., which delivers the pages to your browser. To do so, Cloudflare necessarily processes technical data such as your IP address, browser type and the page requested, and may keep this in short-lived logs for security purposes, such as protecting the site against attacks and abuse. This processing is based on our legitimate interest in running a secure and working website (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR). Cloudflare acts as our processor; it may process data outside the European Economic Area, in which case it relies on the EU–US Data Privacy Framework and Standard Contractual Clauses. See Cloudflare's privacy policy.
We do not use this data to identify you, build profiles or for marketing.
If you email us, we use your email address and message only to answer you. Emails to our address are forwarded to our mailbox by Cloudflare Email Routing. We keep the correspondence for as long as needed to handle your question, and delete it after that unless we have to keep it by law.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you have the right to access, correct or delete your personal data, to restrict or object to its processing, and to data portability. Since we hardly hold any personal data, most of these rights will rarely apply, but you can always contact us at info@textstrip.com. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority; in the Netherlands this is the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens.
Changes
We may update this policy, for example when we add new features. The date at the top shows when it was last changed.
